Iyad holds a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering (Hons) and has over 10 years of design experience in the construction industry in Australia and the Middle East. Iyad is a member of the Institution of Engineers Australia and the Jordanian Engineers Association. Projects have included numerous structures commercial and residential, especially high-rise. Iyad has worked on a wide variety of projects; he has strong design and analytical skills in the areas of structural steel, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete and finite element analysis.
Iyad has particular expertise in the field of computer modeling and dynamics of structures; he is one of the directors in charge of ADG high rise division. He has lectured in Griffith University (Gold Coast Australia) on the design of steel structures and mechanics of materials. He is also a co-author of the book Steel Structures Design Manual to AS4100 by Professor Brian Kirke and Iyad Al-Jamel, published by COMPUTERS AND STRUCTURES, INC. March 2007.
