Specialist Experience

Marco has a Bachelor of Civil Engineering (Hons) and has over 15 years of design experience in the construction industry in Australia and Asia. Projects have included numerous structures both commercial and residential, low and high-rise, industrial complexes and temporary works. Marco has worked on a wide variety of projects, he has strong design and analytical skills in the areas of structural steel, reinforced and post-tensioned concrete and finite element analysis.

Marco Ficca has lectured at Queensland University of Technology for engineering studies and has been involved in numerous projects throughout Queensland and internationally in recent years including:

Office Development, Shannon - precast and insitu concrete framed structure with a structural steel frame at the top floor.
Beechpark Warehouse Development, Shannon Crescent Shopping Centre Extension and Refurbishment - design of a basement carpark, with a steel framed structure at ground level. The basement walls and slabs were all reinforced insitu concrete, with large spanning post-tensioned beams at ground floor.
