Developing a culture of leadership, accountability and a united vision for the company is important to ADG and we are pleased to share that over the course of 2017, we have worked with Acumen International on a successful internal leadership program; the ADG Leadership Academy.
Within the Academy, we developed a consistent model for leadership and business acumen for the ADG Team that focusses on improving our service to clients, consolidating our strategic vision and creating a positive, committed internal culture. In March, we welcomed internal applications from ADG staff members from all sectors in a range of roles and inducted 20 people into the program.
The team members selected for the ADG Leadership Academy were identified as;
- Front line leaders of existing teams who would benefit from developing an ADG aligned leadership approach supported by commercially resilient business acumen responsive to the disruptive competitive context. And,
- Emerging leaders who have been identified as demonstrating a long-term commitment to ADG and have the potential to support the enablers of future business growth including adaptive team collaboration and resource fluidity.
In addition to the course work, the group worked together in smaller teams on a range of projects to practice the implementation of the ADG leadership processes, improve teamwork as leaders and to work on decision making that aligns with the ADG Strategic Vision. These projects included; improving project delivery for clients, designing and creating a thriving, positive internal culture, improving our utilization of technology and developing a strategic vision for the company.
We are proud to say the program has been a huge success and on Wednesday 6th of December 2017 the ADG Leadership Academy presented their project presentations to the ADG Management Group. The day finished with well-deserved awards and celebrations at the Newstead Brewing Co.
Congratulations to the ADG Leadership Academy members on a fantastic program throughout 2017.
