The development application sought to rejuvenate and revitalise an existing building into a hotel and apartment building consistinjg of a two level basement car park, ground floor carpark and loading areas along with carparking on levels ine and two and residential apartments on levels three to 12 and internal/external services infrastructure.

The site is located in the Darwin CBD with limited construction access to the apartments, and coinsisted of two buildings which shared commom civil, hydraulic and electrical services.

This was the first Northern Territory hotel in the H Hotel Group chain and construction times met the constrained program targets for the opening of the hotel.

Efficiency in the construction of the concrete frame was a key objective in the structural design, resulting in a compressed construction schedule. The buildings also leverage a light weight external cladding solution which reduced construction time and cost for the client.
