Strathpine, QLD, Australia
The scope of the project involved the removal and replacement of the existing boardwalk across a large drain near the northern pedestrian entrance of the park. The objective of the project was to provide a safe and functional pedestrian crossing to current standards that would minimise Council’s maintenance liability. The crossing is proposed to be built following construction of the proposed drainage upgrade and wetland immediately downstream.
The project included:
Removal of existing boardwalk from steel bridge to concrete footpath
Design of boardwalk including alignment and length similar to existing
Design of footpath including alignment and length.
The project aimed to:
Improve structure resilience to potential debris loads from being inundated frequently
Improve safety for pedestrians and active transport.
ADG successfully delivered the project on time whilst sticking to the brief of the project. A fully coordinated civil and structural package was provided which met budget resulting in overall client satisfaction.
