3x Regions

West Arnhem Region – Maningrida

ADG provided the Northern Territory Government (NTG) and Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) with civil engineering services over 6 lots at Maningrida. The scope of the project included full site investigation, design development and documentation, including services, of slab on ground blockwork dwellings, associated demolitions, based on existing standardised RCH designs for that region.

Our scope of services also included provision of Hydraulic and Structural section 40 certification for the endorsed house designs for each lot.

ADG were required to work with the existing subdivision which provide significant design challenges. A particular lot consisted of a significant external catchment directing stormwater runoff to an existing open unlined drain which intersected the allotment. ADG worked closely with DIPL to engineer a number of solutions to redirect the concentrated flow from the dwelling. As part of this ADG provided a cost benefit analysis for each potential option for consideration by the client.

Central Desert Region – Engawala / Atitjere

ADG provided the Northern Territory Government (NTG) and the Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) with civil engineering services to construct 2 new dwellings in the community of Engawala and 1 new dwelling in the community of Atitjere.

The scope of the project included the site investigation, design development and documentation, including services, of slab on ground blockwork dwellings, in order to provide Remote Community Housing, based on existing standardised RCH designs for the region.

Our scope of services also included provision of Hydraulic and Structural section 40 certification for the endorsed house designs for each lot.

Due to the proposed allotments not having sufficient road frontage access, ADG came up with an alternative non-standard solution to provide access via the rear lots. This solution saved the client significant external roadworks costs to upgrade the existing road corridor fronting the allotments whilst still maintaining the project brief.

Katherine Region – Barunga / Mataranka / Bulman / Manyallaluk / Lajamanu

ADG provided the Northern Territory Government (NTG) and Department of Housing and Community Development (DHCD), the Department of Infrastructure, Planning and Logistics (DIPL) with civil engineering services for 8 lots containing various dwelling type mixes over Barunga, Mataranka, Bulman, Manyallaluk and Lajamanu in the Katherine Region. The scope of the project was to provide full site investigation, design development and documentation, including services, of slab on ground blockwork dwellings and associated demolitions based on existing standardised RCH designs for that region.

Our scope of services also included provision of Hydraulic and Structural section 40 certification for the endorsed house designs for each lot.

ADG identified numerous discrepancies with the as constructed information and ground proofing on site for one particular lot. As such we received the confidence of the client and were engaged to investigate further and accompany the surveyor to the remote community to clearly determine and identify the existing services. ADG were successful in locating and identifying the existing services and continue with the execution of the design.
