Zuccoli Aspire consists of over 171 hectares subdivided into 1,765 lots to be delivered over 12 master stages. ADG were initially engaged to complete a value engineering alternative of existing engineering designs. Following this, ADG were commissioned to complete the full development based on the cost savings identified through the value engineering process.
ADG scope of services included bulk earthworks and stormwater drainage master planning including optimisation to achieve the most cost-effective outcome for the client. Our approach involved preparation of a detailed 12d model which included all sewer and stormwater trunk infrastructure. We also modelled a rock profile based on the geotechnical assessment to accurately quantify the earthworks required in rock.
Our scope included water and sewer master planning over the entire development. Our design approach utilised industry modelling software in lieu of first principle calculations to allow for optimisation of the networks. Through this approach, we identified residual capacity in the water network and were able to reduce infrastructure sizes to achieve construction cost savings. We also identified residual capacity in the sewer infrastructure which enabled expansion of the development and additional lots be developed.
The final element of our scope involved detailed design, documentation and contract administration of each sub-stage including issue for approval and issue for construction drawings. This element of the scope includes obtaining all required statutory approvals (i.e. City of Palmerston, PWC, DENR), preparation and implementation of construction contracts and detailed cost estimates / BOQ’s.
