Diversity and Inclusion

SHAPING PLACES, PEOPLE, AND COMMUNITY

ADG is committed to supporting our community and using the skills and opportunity afforded to us to make a positive impact.

DIVERSITY AND INCLUSION

The future is built on a foundation of innovative thinking and embracing diverse perspectives. We know that progress comes from challenging the status quo, thinking outside the box, and valuing the unique contributions of every individual. Our success is rooted in the diverse ideas and creativity of our team, which drives us to create a more inclusive and forward-thinking environment.

Why diversity matters
By fostering a culture that champions diversity and innovative thinking, we shape a stronger, more resilient organisation. Embracing diverse perspectives leads to better decision-making, more creative solutions, and a work environment where everyone feels valued and empowered. This is how we engineer the future and contribute to thriving communities that are ready to embrace it.

Championing diversity and inclusion
We are dedicated to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion across all levels of ADG and understand the importance of being transparent and accountable when addressing gender pay disparities and creating an inclusive workplace.

Our commitment to progress
Our goal is to close the gender pay gap even further and continue implementing initiatives to ensure fair and equitable compensation practices for all our employees. We aim to have women represent 30% in all managerial positions by FY29, ensuring their voices are heard and making a real difference.

Our progress

Endorsing Gender Equity Metrics
The ADG Board has endorsed gender equity metrics for the first time, with targets extending to 2029. These metrics include Board, manager, and graduate representation, ensuring that gender equity is a priority at all levels of our organisation.

In February 2025, the Diversity & Inclusion Committee was formed, which will advise the Board on policy, gender, and cultural diversity initiatives. This committee is instrumental in driving our commitment to an inclusive workplace.

New Policies
The Gender Equity Policy and Diversity & Inclusion Policy have been approved and communicated, reinforcing our dedication to equity and inclusion in all aspects of our operations.

Flexible Work Arrangements
Our Flexible Work Arrangements Policy has been updated to support our team through all life stages, promoting a balance between professional and personal commitments.

Supporting NAWIC
We continue to support industry events through the National Association for Women in Construction (NAWIC) and actively invest in the NAWIC First 5 program, which supports early career women.
